HON OCTOBER MEDICAL TEAM

The Medical Team will treat orphans in two locations, and provide two community clinics including the Lenca Indians. The team will be limited to 10-12 persons including a physcian, pharmacist and RN's. Non-medical personnel are also needed to assist with the setup and crowd control.

The Orientation Guide will help you plan for your trip including what to expect, how to pack, and how to prepare yourself. All Team Members are required to read the material and be responsible for knowing the contents.

Cost - $1,900*

*final costs determined by airfare. Additional travel costs for passports and immunizations are not included.

This trip leaves late Thursday and returns late Tuesday

Headed by Pastor Jorge Pinto, this ministry rescues kids from the streets and offering them a chance at life. There are two facilities: a Transition House in Tegucigalpa and a Ranch an hour away in Talanga. This team will work on the Ranch. There are more nearly children and youth in the project. We will also be serving the community's poor.

The Lencas are native Hondurans who live in the mountains near El Salvador. There is little medical care available to them and they are an impoverished people in the community in which we will be serving. We expect to treat around 500 in a two day period in relatively primitive conditions.
